Mark St. Leger Hands On Workshop 2004

The Mark St. Leger hands on workshop at Barb's Barn started on a rainy Sunday morning

This was the first class after the addition of the three AAW Grant mini lathes

Mark St. Leger, Bob Rosand, and Linda Van Gehuchten all honored us by autographing the lathes

As the members begin to arrive, Sam Ciccia in his rain gear brings in his lathe

We were fortunate to have not only Mark St. Leger, but Linda Van Gehuchten as well as Bob and Susan Rosand with us for the weekend

The rest of the class attendees continue to arrive and set up

Promptly at 9 am Mark gets the days workshop kicked off

Mark uses one of the brand new AAW grant lathes as he demos the first project

He breaks up the projects into major steps and then has the group walk through it a major step at a time

The first project was to make a properly sized, split ring clamp to hold the top later in the morning

With that accomplished, the group gets back together for the next step of the project

This was the body of the top and the Corian ring
