Bob Rosand at Barb's Barn

The perch is parted of for attachment to the ornament

The perch is glued in and the ornament is completed

Per the Hilburger rule, 12 noon brings the mandatory lunch break

After lunch, Bob starts his demonstration of the bell ornament

The outside of the bell is shaped leaving enough strength for hollowing the inside

A hole helps with the hollowing and sets the depth

The inside of the bell is hollowed to match the outside contours

The inside of the bell is taken to completion

With all of the interior work done, the outside can be turned to final shape

Finished as best that can be reached, the ornament is parted off

A jam chuck can be created or a light grip in the chuck allows for finishing touches on the top

While the class is going on, Susan Rosand is decorating Bob's turning with painting

She does painting on many of the ornments and bowls

The session winds down to the end and it's time to clean up

Everyone pitches in and the barn gets cleaned and swept

The class attendees pack their gear and head for home

Bob gets packed up for his drive home
