Business Items:
Jim Shimwell again asked for all to make
toys for the Aspire kids. We will
present the toys to them on December 8th, 2009. As of this meeting
he has 160 toys but is looking for about 400 toys. Please bring the toys you
have made to the December Meeting or contact Jim at 875-9654.
WHERE IS OUR 2ND CLUB LATHE ????? DO YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS ?????
Dick Radel brought the vacuum
chuck to the November meeting that went with the Lathe. There was a discussion
of what to do with the vacuum chuck. The general thought was to authorize and
pay Jim Hilburger to modify the chuck to fit our #1 lathe that is in Barb’s
Barn so it can be used in classes there.
Another idea was to sell the chuck at its real worth. What do you think
should be done? Come to the December
meeting and vote.
Fair Update: Andrea Gregory from Make-A-Wish was at the meeting and stated the recipient who was coming to the meeting has the swine flu and hopefully will be at next months meeting.
Paul Mazuchowski introduced Tom Elberson from Advantage Trim & Lumber, 601 Ohio Street,
Buffalo, NY who brought many pieces of hardwood for turning to the
meeting. Tom gave the pieces away as
prizes for those who purchased 50 – 50 tickets. Advantage Lumber’s Tom can be
reached at 827-3915 should you need some materials.
David Day introduced his friend Jerry as
a guest tonight. Did you know Harry Vogel is 84 years young? We are
concerned for Mike Hachey who is in the hospital in Rochester with a blood
clot.
