Imerese introduced
four people from the ‘Male-A-Wish” foundation and after discussion Rich
Mialki, Jim Hilburger, Bob Ball & Gary Jones presented those
representatives with a check for $10,855. This was greatly appreciated by the
Make-A-Wish people and they stated the amount would grant a wish to two needy
children. Thanks again to all who helped
make this possible. Bob Ball “Thanks
all, and notes it was a multi club effort, Turners I & II,
Ron Karaszewski won the
50-50 drawing and will take home $25.
Steve Imerese stated that those members who will show their
work at the “Audubon Library Display” must
package their items with their name and telephone number on the item and the
packaging. All items must be brought to the October meeting.
Jim Shimwell
showed all, his latest grasshopper toy and reminded us that Christmas is coming
and we need to make toys for the “Aspire Kids”. He has lots of patterns for
toys for those who would like them. Contact Jim at 875-9654.
Marwin Feldman introduces two new members, Ben Martinke,
Show & Tell: Thanks for sharing to, Marwin Feldman background setup for photos, Rich Mialki– bowl, John Hendrich – two bowls
Demo: Jim Vasi gave a very detailed visual
presentation of what he does to make a
segmented bowl and turned one. Thanks Jim.
