The turners 1 club, will co-host this fall’s John Jordan Two Day Demonstration at the Pembroke High School on Saturday and Sunday, October 14^th and 15^th. Tickets are available from Steve Imerese, Jim Vasi, Jim Schnellinger or Lance Kanaby at a cost of $20 for either day or $35 for a two day ticket. Please buy your tickets soon as there is only two meetings before the demonstration.

The Erie County Fair will be held from Wednesday, August 9^th through Sunday, August 20^th. The Turners 1 and Turners 2 will hold their Make-A-Wish charity fundraiser at the fair. Put the dates on your calendar so you can participate. We'll be in our usual spot on the porch of the Woodcarvers building. Steve Imerese, Rich Mialki, and Al Schultz are the organizers for the fair fund raising event this year.

The writing of this Newsletter is August 29^th, 2006 and the results of our efforts at the fair are in. We set a new record raising $7756.50 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western New York. Since we started keeping account in 1999, we've raised over $43,800 for this worthy cause. Thanks to all of the members of Turners 1 and Turners 2 for their time, donations, and continued support. Special thanks to the co-organizers Al Schultz, Steve Imerese, Bob Ball, and Rich Mialki. And Thank You to all of the spouses and friends who also helped make this year such a resounding success.

Demo: Jim Vasi shared his expertise in making stick pens and wine bottle corks. Great job and thanks Jim.
