Rich Mialki shared that the dates for the Erie County Fair are August 11th,
thru the 22nd, 2010. See the attached sign-up sheet for what slots
need to be filled. (yellow highlighted)
We need 2 more volunteers to fill the slots with 4 people per time
zone.
HAVE YOU VOLUNTEERED??? SIGN-UP NOW BY CALLING, RICH or sign-up
at the meeting Thursday.
Rich & Bob Ball are still
looking for items for the fair, both have patterns and ideas if you need them.
Pat Boggan is making name tags for all to wear when you are volunteering at the
fair. When you leave, replace them in the box. Yes there are name tags for your
wives and we are sure all will have a great time at the fair.
Jay Elliot donated “shrink wrap” to cover
lathe shield at the fair. Thanks Jay
Steve Imerese has wood pieces for any member who
would make items for the fair or Aspire kids. He also announced the ANNUAL
AUCTION WILL BE AT THE OCTOBER MEETING.
Jim Rupracht
still has anchor seal to sell from Pembroke. Price is $8.00 per gallon.

Demo: Demo by Jim Vasi was very interesting. He turned a partial spindle, also
gave lots of helpful hints for turning in general. THANKS FOR A GREAT DEMO, Jim.
Next Meeting: Thursday Aug 5th, 2010, 7:30 PM at the
Maryvale High School. No demo we will finalize
details for the fair. PLEASE NOTE, SEPTEMBER
MEETING will be WEDNESDAY
