Picnic Newsletter- July 7, 2005

The Annual Picnic was Thursday,  July 7th.  All present had a good time and ate heartily. Thanks to Milt Ehrenberg and his helpers.

Members are requested to bring items that would sell at the Erie County Fair Woodturners Booth to the August meeting, if possible. The dates of the fair are from Thursday August 11th thru Sunday August 21st. We will have two lathes on the porch and would like to have two turners per shift.  We must have two sales people per shift and it would be great if we had four. We will be happy anytime you can help. Check out the sign-up sheet that will be posted at the August meeting.  Remember, when you work, you get free admission and free parking.

 

Currently we have no turners for afternoon on Sun 8/21.  Can you help???

 

Also we have no sales people on the evening of Thur, 8/18. Can you help???

 

 PLEASE SEE WHEN YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS FOR “Make-a-Wish”.

 

 Thanks to all of  you who have signed up to date. So far we have 30 members of turners 1 and 9 members of turners 2 volunteering.

 The August meeting will be held on Thursday, August 4th. This will be our last meeting to get everything ready for the Erie County Fair efforts. The demo will be done by Steve Imerese's nephew Chris. Chris works for The Tree Doc and will demo many aspects of the chain saw including safety, cleaning, adjusting, and more.
