Rich Mialki shared that the dates for the Erie County Fair are August 11th,
thru the 22nd, 2010. See the attached sign-up sheet for what slots
need to be filled. (yellow highlighted) We need 17 more volunteers to fill the
slots. HAVE YOU VOLUNTEERED??? SIGN-UP

Steve Imerese has wood pieces for any member who
would make items for the fair or Aspire kids. He also announced the ANNUAL
AUTION WILL BE AT THE OCTOBER MEETING.
The monies someone pays for your stuff goes to the treasury of the club.
Jim also brought up and the membership approved of donating $50 to the church
of Lyle Foell’s wife in her memory.

Rich Mialki introduced Dennis Hambruch from
Mafell Tools (626-9303) and a representative from Germany who explained their
goal of providing woodworkers with the highest quality tools. Catalogs were
available for those who wanted them. If you missed the meeting and are
interested in quality tools contact Dennis.

Demo: Demo by Ray Bissonette was very interesting. He turned a challis, then
turned the stem off center. Lots of helpful hints. THANKS FOR A GREAT DEMO, Ray.
Next Meeting: Thursday July 1st, 2010, 7:30 PM at the
Maryvale School . The demo will be lathe
finishes and buffing . Also a few hints on spindle turning. All by Jim Vasi.
