Steve Imerese was not available tonight. Jim Vasi ran the meeting. THANKS JIM.
Rich Mialki informed all that the Fair dates this year are August 6th, thru the 17th.
Some members signed up to be a
volunteer at the fair. If you volunteer,
you will receive a free gate pass and free parking pass. Don’t forget we need items to sell. Can you work at the
Fair????? See the attached schedule and
call either Rich or Bob.
Steve Imerese is still looking for a member
to take the position of vice president responsible for scheduling demo’s.
Do you remember the October storm of 2006? Therese Forton-Barnes does and informed
all of a program “Turning Fallen Trees into Works of Art” ie “Carvings for a
Cause”. Some members took wood from
fallen trees and will make some turning art items to be donated to this
program. The monies donated will be used to re-tree western New York. Check out the website www.carvingsforacause.com. The
first auction is June 18th, and 50% of the sale price goes to the
woodcrafter and 50% goes to “Carvings for a Cause”.
Frank Stanko made some wood handles for the
6 in 1 screwdrivers sold at Harbor Freight.
See page 2 & 3 for instructions, so you too can make one for yourself
or make some for sale at the Fair. Call Rich
Mialki 694-5430 for the details and
screwdrivers.
