The Annual Picnic date is Thursday, July 7th. The cost this year will be $5.00 per person, and
the location is same as in years past, at the Noco Pavilion on Ensminger Road just east of Two Mile Creek Road.
(See map page 2). Milt Ehrenberg went thru the list of tasks needed and recorded
those volunteers he has to date. If you can lend a hand you can reach Milt at photo@bluefrog.biz or 837-7989. There will
be no July meeting for the club. SEE YOU AT THE PICNIC!!!!
Members are requested to bring
items that would sell at the Erie County
Fair Woodturners Booth to the picnic, if possible. It was agreed that if members donate more expensive items they
will sell and all proceeds are for the benefit of “Make-a-wish”. The dates of
the fair are from Thursday August 11th
thru Sunday August 21st. We will have two lathes on the porch
and would like to have two turners per shift.
We must have two sales people per shift and it would be great if we had
four. We will be happy anytime you can
help. Check out the sign-up sheet that will be posted at the picnic. Remember, when you work, you get free
admission and free parking. Currently we
have no turners for afternoons on Sat, 8/13, Thur, 8/18, Sat, 8/20
and Sun 8/21, and the evening on Sun, 8/14. Also we have no sales people on the evening of Sun, 8/14, the
evening of Tue, 8/16, both, the afternoon and evening of Thur, 8/18, the
morning of Sat, 8/20, and the morning and afternoon of Sun, 8/21. PLEASE
SEE WHEN YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS FOR “Make-a-Wish”. Thank
You.
We will meet at the school on
Thursday August 4th, and our September meeting will be on Wednesday,
September 7th. .

Demo:
Rich
Mialki gave a terrific demonstration on turning off center. Rich showed how
to make the off center chucks he used to hold the blanks of different sizes and
turned a duck. He is very clever at
this type of turning. Thanks Rich.
