Business Items:
“CORRECTION” Last month we reported Clair
Bluhm was lucky to win a mini lathe at Rockler’s, Sorby Tool
demonstration. Wrong!! It was Pat Boggan
who won and she has donated it to Barb’s Barn for use in the educational
sessions there. Thanks Pat and sorry for the error.
Bob Rosand received an AAW grant for a "Intermediate Kids Hands on Barn Session" to be held Saturday, June 9th. There is no charge for the workshop. The barn, Bob's time, travel, and talent are being donated. Students must be "intermediate turners" i.e. already turning, have regular access to a lathe & tools. Each participant will receive a 1 year AAW membership, free lunch, turning video as well as other "perks" to be announced June 9. The class is limited to 8 students: first come, first serve basis. Please contact Barb, (716) 652-4156, for further information. Age: 12-18, will consider younger if qualified.
The Audubon Library has a display case for use by WNYWT in November if we would like to show our work. A volunteer is needed to head this effort.
The following changes and
additions should be made to the “Membership
