Carol Engers from
Make-A-Wish presented the Club a plaque in recognition of our generous
contributions over the last few years. She also announced that part of our most
recent donation will be used by a child named Kyrie who has terminal illness
but will fulfill her wish for a vacation. After she returns from vacation they
will send the club pictures of the trip.
Marwin Feldman was given the title of MASTER
CRAFTMAN at the Roycroft studio’s.
Clair Bluhm was lucky to win a mini lathe
at Rockler’s, Sorby Tool
demonstration and has donated it to Barb’s Barn for use in the educational
sessions there. Thanks Clair.
Jim Hilburger stated there remains some openings for a Barb’s Barn experience
lead by himself on “Production Turning and Sharpening” on March 31st.
Contact Jim 652-3096 or Barb 652-4156 to sign up. Students must supply and
sharpen their own tools, and turn with them.

Demo: The demo was by Paul Madej of
the Lockport Woodworkers on creating pen blanks with acrylics, then turning
them. Thanks Paul for a great demo.

kazoo.
