Barb's Barn Session w/ Lockport Turners

On Saturday, September 20th, the Lockport Turners held a Barb's Barn session

Eric Smith was one of the instructors for the day

Attendees were from the four local AAW chapters

Eric showed the group how to make coffee scoops

He showed the methods for mounting and hollowing

The wall thickness was up to the turner to control overall weight

Eric looks over Pepper Weinheimer as he does his hands on of the project

Marc Hall, an instructor later in the day, helps Kathy Weinheimer

Jake Debski works with Pat Bogan

John Walkden works on his hollowing

Ed Daul gets his hollowing practice done

Eric checks Rick Shreiber's tool sharpness

Marc Hall gets setup for his portion of the demonstration

He rounds the stock in preparation for his project demo

Marc demonstrates his method for making a honey dipper

The show, then do, method of teaching helps the students with their project work
