Turners 2 July Meeting (1/4)

Harry Hunt, from Waleska GA, was the featured demonstrator at the July meeting

Barb's Barn had to open the auxilliary parking lot in addition to the driveway

Harry got there early to set up his treadle lathe

It knocks down into small pieces for transportation

It was a beautiful summer evening at Barb's Barn

The lathe is mostly wood, but there are a few metal pieces

Harry was a demonstrator at the AAW Symposium held in Providence RI

Harry works in construction but does many demonstrations

The drive belt is a leather belt with a fastener and with multiple pulleys ...

a wide assortment of spindle speeds can be obtained

Harry designed his replica as best he could from Holtzapffel's books

Jed Donahue gratiously provided some freshly cut wood

Harry's demo is as authentic as he can make it

Ron Hudson gets the meeting started so we can get to the demo

Bill Perry shows a couple of his latest works
