Turners 2 June 2008 Meeting

There was a good crowd for Jed's demonstration

The blank is mounted for shaping and inletting by tape, glue, or recess

Facing, inleting, and shaping other than round can be accomplished on the lathe

Here, an elliptical buckle prior to cutting the inlet

The other end is prepped for parting off once the friction finish is done
