Turners 1 May 2007 Meeting

The evenings demonstration was turning goblets by Jim Vasi

After prepping for a chuck mount, the goblet is hollowed

With the goblet hollowed, the tail stock is brought back for support

The stem is progressively turned thin working towards the headstock

With the stem (and captive ring) done, Jim works on the base and parts it off

The completed demo goblet
