Turners 1 March 2006 Meeting

Some of the members gathering before the March Turners 1 meeting begins

There was a nice assortment of turnings for the show and tell

Because of the severe snowfall, turnout for the meeting was pretty light

After the short business meeting, Bob Ball started off the show and tell

During the break, Sam Ciccia from Turners 2, sets up for his demonstration

Sam gets everything layed out for his candlestick making demo

He usually works with a stunning wood for effect, here Box Elder

Sam uses a home made steady rest to help support the turning when he needs to remove the tail center

He gets started roughing his stock

In spite of the weather induced low turnout, the group was very interested in Sam's technique
