After covering safety, wheel selection, and tool geometries, Kurt shows his technique for sharpening scrapers

With identical wheels, the grinder has one rest set for scrapers and one rest set for gouges

He demonstrates the use of a diamond wheel dresser to dress the grinding wheels

Kurt expains his wheel selection and reasons for having fixed rests for the bulk of his tools

With one side for all of his scrapers, the other side will sharpen almost all of his gouges

The only real test for tools is how they cut

For special grinds, i.e. fingernail, etc., Kurt uses the Oneway Wolverine System

He demonstrates the technique for adjusting and checking the Oneway settings

Another specialty grinding situation, the Ellsworth or Irish grind, requires a special holder along with the Oneway Wolverine

With the tool in the jig, Kurt shows his method for adjusting the rest position

The Ellsworth grind requires a long continuous sweep to each side

Kurt demonstrates his method for putting the initial grind on a skew chisel

After the initial hollow grinding, the skew can be sharpened for a long time using only a diamond hone

Having shown the honing technique for ring tools, Kurt shows the proper use of this widely misunderstood tool

After fielding questions, the demonstration comes to an end

During the cleanup, Kurt answers a few last questions
