After a short break, the evenings demonstration by Kurt Hertzog got started |
Kurt's demo was on the shaping, sharpening, and various uses of the Ellsworth gouge |

Here the tool is used in the traditional bowl gouge cut to do some rough shaping |
The shear cut is demonstrated showing it's ability to generate very fine and whispy curls as the surface is cleaned up |
